About WillowCore Desktop

A Bristol practice focused on recommendation lift — how placements change attach rates, and how to show that clearly.

Official name and history

WillowCore Desktop Ltd is the registered business name. The practice was established in 2016 in Bristol after its founders spent several seasons inside multi-category retail analysing basket attach for printed and digital catalogues. Early work centred on seasonal add-on campaigns; clients then asked for clearer charts that buyers would trust in the same meeting where placements were decided.

By 2019 the firm specialised in cross-sell recommendation lift analysis — comparing exposed and control journeys, documenting caveats, and briefing merchandising and CRM teams. Today the office remains at Office 8, 41 Example Road, Bristol ZZ4 4AA, serving organisations across Great Britain.

How we work

We treat lift as a trading question first. Before any chart is drawn, we agree the recommendation surfaces, the attach-rate definition, and what would count as a meaningful change for your assortment. Analysis stays close to order lines and placement logs; visualisations use plain labels so a floor manager can read them without a glossary.

People and approach

Engagements are led by analysts who have sat in buyer reviews and know when a chart will be challenged. We prefer fewer plates with sharper callouts over dense dashboards. Values that show up in the work: named assumptions, visible caveats, and respect for the trading calendar.

Community and clients

Most clients are catalogue owners, digital merchandisers, and CRM leads in retail and homeware. We also support membership organisations measuring member-upgrade attach. Work is commissioned as studies, briefings, and retainers — always with a human briefing, never as an unattended feed.
